AG2022: Collaborative Leaders as Ag-ents of Change
The Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawai‘i is planning to host the next statewide all-agriculture conference in late 2022*. Conference planning is focused on delivering a safe, in-person event at the Hawai‘i Convention Center in Honolulu.
*The event originally scheduled for April 19-20, 2022 has been postponed due to the recent rise in COVID cases.
Today more than ever, the agricultural sector and its affiliated industries must provide collaborative leadership to proactively address a changing environment. Be it the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, the local economy, or cultural and social drivers — times are constantly evolving, and there is a critical need to have a solid understanding of the big picture and to engage with others to identify, support and leverage opportunities to adapt in ways that benefit individual businesses and the collective agricultural community of Hawai‘i.
From keynote speakers to panel sessions, Hawai‘i Agriculture Conference content and dialogue will push the envelope while also delivering practical information that businesses and organizations can employ, whether in pursuit of cutting-edge innovation or working to scale existing operations.
The initial line-up of topics include community empowerment, food systems and security, climate change, workforce development, growing the new and the next generation of farmers, technology and research, business and financing, and much more. Hawai‘i FFA leaders are committed to return to the Conference with dynamic sessions for all young student leaders interested in agriculture. Exhibitors will offer key financial and production resources, new products and supplies, ideas and initiatives.
Hawai‘i agriculture is cresting the wave.… Together, let's make it a strong green ride into the future.
